๐Ÿ•ท THE TURN RESTORED โ€” Every Body Moves Again (v2.4.9)

A defender's video caught it: spiders gliding toward their prey abdomen-first, bodies locked pointing north. The hunt was aimed right โ€” the renderer was ignoring the turn. A quiet regression from the great titan rebuild had cut rotation out of the sprite pipeline, and more than spiders went stiff: the spider's crawling leg-sway, the bee's diving lean, the goblin's marching stride โ€” all silently flattened.

The turn is restored, and with it the life: spiders now wheel to face the way they truly run, legs articulating as they crawl, exactly as they once did โ€” and now the build ritual proves the rotation reaches the screen before anything ships, so this one can never slip through quiet again. See them turn โ†’

๐Ÿ•ท FACING FOLLOWS FEET โ€” Spiders Round the Village (v2.4.8)

When the village became solid ground, the spiders never got the memo. A spider whose hunt line ran through the buildings would press against the wall โ€” body pointed at its prey, feet sliding sideways โ€” a strafing, moonwalking spider. The law is now simple: a body faces the way it truly travels. Every spider's facing is reconciled to its actual movement each frame; only wind-ups and lunges keep their aimed stare.

And they no longer jam against the wall at all: a blocked spider now glides the rim, rounding the village the shorter way to reach you. Hiding behind the buildings buys you seconds, not safety. Watch them come around โ†’

๐Ÿ•ท SPIDER GAIT โ€” The Swarm Moves Right (v2.4.7)

Swarm spiders had a secret: their famous burst-stop-burst skitter was a hard gate โ€” a quarter of every second frozen to a crawl, then a violent lunge forward. In the campaign it read as eerie. In THE SWARM, with mutations stacking speed on speed, it read as broken.

The gait is rebuilt as a smooth gallop pulse โ€” the same predatory rhythm, no dead-stops. And spiders no longer whip around like compass needles when they orbit you: their bodies now turn like bodies, banking through walks and snapping only when they lunge. Face the swarm โ†’

โ›ฐ SOLID GROUND โ€” The World Pushes Back (v2.4.6)

A big honesty pass on the battlefield itself. The village is now solid โ€” grounded enemies must go around it, fliers pass overhead, and siege-minded attackers still ring its walls. Sorkhi's blade stopped hitting air: melee strikes now snap to the nearest enemy within the drawn arc, and her reach finally matches what the swing shows.

VEXARA learned to aim with her whole body โ€” she turns her tail toward the hunter, dips her abdomen in warning, and fires her stinger volley from the stinger itself. Spiders steer by rotation without mirror-flipping backwards. And the right-hand watchtower finally casts a shadow, like its twin always has. Feel the ground โ†’

๐Ÿ QUEEN'S NEEDLE โ€” Golden Darts, Honest Light (v2.4.5)

VEXARA's stinger volley comes faster and truer โ€” and every dart is now a drawn golden needle, rotated to its flight, blazing at the tip with a honey glow. If it's flying at you, you'll know exactly what it is.

The titans also stopped whiting out: a heavy hit used to paint their whole silhouette solid white for a flash, hiding the very body you were reading. Hit-flash now renders as a pulse of light over the visible art โ€” you never lose sight of the fight. Read every strike โ†’

๐ŸŒฟ BELONGING โ€” Every Titan In Its World (v2.4.4)

The arena had an invisible village โ€” a leftover collider walling off part of the floor. Gone. Every boss sprite got a defringe pass, killing the white halo that made them float above the battlefield instead of standing in it.

MALGRIM finally became dangerous up close: his cleave now aims at you, swings a wider arc, and in his final fury he answers a hug with an immediate sweep. VEXARA got her menace back โ€” she rears before the dive and rotates stinger-first into the flight line, leads your movement so you must cut direction rather than outrun, and peppers the field with stinger volleys between chains. The ladder is honest again: each titan harder than the last. Meet them properly โ†’

๐Ÿ”ฅ TITAN FURY โ€” Rage, Roots, and the Open Core (v2.4.3)

The three elder titans found their signatures. Below 35% health, VEXARA turns red with QUEEN'S RAGE โ€” faster wings, triple-chain dives, and a STINGER PIERCE that skewers clean through the mark. Stay off the line.

MALGRIM calls WARDEN'S ROOTS โ€” telegraphed thorn snares bloom under your feet, exactly as wide as their warning rings. And striking his exposed amber core now staggers him and holds the window open longer. Every telegraph precedes every hit. That's the law. Test the fury โ†’

๐ŸŽจ THE TITANS REBORN โ€” Boss Quality Rebuild (v2.4.2)

KRA'THOR, VEXARA, and MALGRIM โ€” the three elder titans โ€” now move with full frame-based animation: idle breath, striding walks, wind-ups you can read, and signature attacks drawn frame by frame. All eleven sprite sheets were rebuilt at high resolution so the titans render crisp at full battlefield size, with their on-screen scale and hitboxes untouched.

VEXARA's dive now hits along her whole flight path and tracks you through the first stretch of her wind-up before committing. Her weak-point glow sits where it belongs โ€” on the filigree of her thorax. MALGRIM's cleave hits like a titan's should, with knockback and an impact ring. THRYZON and ZAR'KAEL set the standard; their elders have caught up. See them move โ†’

โš” THE WALL HIDES NOTHING โ€” Arena Fairness (v2.4.1)

A defender reported the truth: in the colosseum, ZAR'KAEL's void-fire could land in the shadow of the near wall โ€” painted over by the arena art, fully invisible, still burning. That breaks the one law this game holds sacred: what you see is what can hurt you.

Fixed threefold. Burning ground and lightning telegraphs now paint over the wall โ€” the colosseum may hide bodies, never a live hazard. Burns and telegraphs can no longer spawn inside the wall at all. And every scorch pool now wears a bright hot rim, readable even on the dark arena floor.

And one law for every battlefield: every point of damage you take now announces itself with a red number. No silent hits โ€” anywhere, from anything, ever again. Step back into the ring โ†’

โ›จ THE SANCTUARY โ€” The Village Gives What It Has (v2.4)

In the endless night, the village can no longer be defended โ€” but it has not stopped loving its defender. A golden ring of light now breathes around the village in THE SWARM: stand inside it, and your wounds slowly close.

But the light is not free. The sanctuary holds a finite well of healing โ€” every point it gives you, it loses, and the ring visibly wanes as it spends itself. Burn it early hiding from weak waves, and it won't be there when Wave 18 has you at death's door. Husband it well, and the village will pull you back from the brink when it matters most... until the night comes when the light goes out, and a message rises: THE VILLAGE HAS GIVEN ALL IT HAS.

Retreat is now a strategy. Spend your home wisely. Stand in the light โ†’

โšก GRAB IT AND THROW IT โ€” Battlefield Pickups (v2.3)

The Swarm's odd waves now carry a gold-sparked ELITE โ€” tougher than its kin, glittering so you can't miss it. Fell it and it drops a SUPPLY DROP with a 15-second fuse: a โšก THUNDERSTONE you throw for a devastating blast, a ๐ŸŒฑ BARRIER SEED that grows 8 seconds of living thorns where you stand, or a ๐Ÿ’Ž VOID SHARD that surges your special the instant you touch it.

Walk over a stone or seed to carry it (one slot โ€” choose wisely), then press T on keyboard or tap its glowing button on mobile to unleash it. The thunderstone arcs to your aim and lands in thunder; the seed holds a road so you can breathe.

And the night explains itself now: when THE SWARM ADAPTS, the mutation is announced center-screen in big letters with exactly what changes โ€” FRENZY, THICK HIDES, DOUBLE ROADS, NIGHT TERRORS, VOLATILE โ€” so every deep-wave death is a lesson, never a mystery. Take the night's weapons โ†’

THE SWARM ADAPTS โ€” Mutations, Titans & Supply Caches (v2.2)

The endless night just learned new tricks. Every 5 waves, the Swarm adapts โ€” FRENZY speeds them up, THICK HIDES harden them, DOUBLE ROADS pour them in pairs, NIGHT TERRORS turn every ant to a spider, VOLATILE makes the dead burst. Mutations stack. The deep waves are not the shallow waves.

At every 10th wave, a TITAN crashes the swarm itself โ€” a full boss fighting alongside the horde. Fell it for coins, health, and special charge... while the minions keep coming.

But the night pays its survivors: every 5th wave cleared drops a SUPPLY CACHE โ€” choose one of three relics under pressure. Heartfruit, Warfeast, Twinstrike echo arrows, Giantsbane, or the rare Second Wind that raises you from death itself. Relics burn out in waves โ€” nothing leaves the Swarm, and no two runs draft alike. The night is deeper now โ†’

๐ŸŒŠ THE SWARM โ€” Endless Night Arrives (v2.1)

A third door now stands on the title screen. The campaign asks if you can save the village. The Arena asks if you can master the duel. THE SWARM asks only one thing: how long can you last?

Clear wave 5 of the campaign to enter. Inside: endless waves under permanent night โ€” no shops, no breathing room, hordes that grow larger and hit harder forever, and every road pouring at once. The village cannot help you here; in the Swarm, the monsters hunt YOU. When you fall โ€” and you will โ€” your FINAL STAND is counted, and your Longest Stand is carved onto the title screen for good, tracked for every hero.

The night keeps its own honors: reach Wave 10 and the Swarm pays tribute. Survive to Wave 15 and earn the STORMBREAKER title. And those who stand at Wave 20 will glimpse something white and blue watching from the treeline... a legend the Den will soon be ready for. Enter the night โ†’

SHE ARRIVES โ€” Nuri, the Void Archer (v2.0)

The locked card on the title screen has been waiting. Its price is 5,000 coins. Pay it, and NURI โ€” the fourth defender โ€” takes her seat beside Sorkhi, Zenka, and Mauka, carrying a bow cut from the Void Sovereign's own remains.

She is the fastest soul in the Wildlands, and she does not waste shots: her arrows bend toward her mark harder than any magic Zenka slings. But her true weapon is patience โ€” HOLD your attack (hold SPACEBAR on keyboard) and watch her draw: violet power gathering along the string, frame by frame, until the arrowhead blazes. Release, and the shot does not miss. A full draw hits like a falling star.

She runs every mode โ€” campaign, Arena, contracts โ€” with her own animations for every step, draw, and charge. Saves and Rescue Codes carry forward, and your code now remembers her too. Meet her price โ†’

A Friend in the Wildlands โ€” Adopt Your Pup (v1.9)

The Forge has a new listing, and it wags its tail. ๐Ÿพ Adopt a Found Pup โ€” a small beige wolf pup with soft brown eyes and a moonlit rune medallion โ€” and name him yourself. Your name, your pup, forever: he saves with your game and greets you every run.

Two lives, one leash. In Companion Mode he simply travels with you โ€” village, campaign, even the Arena โ€” trotting at your heel, untouchable, just company for the long defense. Switch to Battle Mode and the medallion flares violet: he fights with his own health bar, taking real hits and landing brave little chomps. Tap his face on your screen to command him โ€” attack the boss, attack minions, or defend you โ€” or send him back to safety anytime. If he's beaten down he never dies; he retreats to your side until you Rally him at the Forge.

Raise him right. Feed him to heal him. Train him to Level 10 and watch his bite grow. And those who look closely at his medallion have asked what the rune means. All we'll say is: it glows brighter near the colosseum.

Saves and Rescue Codes carry forward, as always. Go meet him โ†’

The Marksman Update โ€” Arrows Learn to Think, and a Fourth Defender Approaches (v1.8)

๐ŸŽฏ Every ranged shot in the Wildlands just got smarter. Zenka's bolts now snap to the intercept point of her mark โ€” aiming where the enemy will be, not where it was โ€” and bend gently mid-flight to finish the job. A soft cyan ring marks her current target so you always know who's about to regret existing. The Watchtower archers learned the same trick: tower arrows now lead their targets like real marksmen. Less waste, more thunk. On phone and keyboard alike โ€” no new controls, just better arrows.

๐Ÿน And on the title screen... a fourth card has appeared. Locked, violet-edged, watching. Her name is NURI, she carries a bow cut from a certain Sovereign's remains, and she is COMING SOON. That is all we are permitted to say.

Saves and Rescue Codes carry forward, as always. See who's waiting โ†’

The Proving Grounds โ€” Twin Bouts, Contracts & a Reason to Return Daily (v1.7)

The Arena grew teeth, a ledger, and a calendar.

โš” TWIN BOUT. The Arena's headline fight: two random titans take the floor at once. Kra'thor tunneling while Vexara dives; Malgrim's shadows beside Thryzon's armor โ€” every pairing a different nightmare, every victory a fat purse. You never know who walks through the gates until the torches flare.

๐Ÿ“œ CONTRACTS. Six graded challenges on fights you thought you knew: defeat Kra'thor untouched. Defeat Vexara in under 90 seconds. Beat Malgrim using only your special. Survive The Gauntlet โ€” three titans, back to back, one health bar. Each contract pays a bounty on first completion and keeps paying (smaller) forever after. Fail the condition mid-fight? The bout continues โ€” you just fight for the base purse. Mastery is optional; it's simply where the money is.

โœฆ THE DAILY ENGINE. Every day, one contract is Today's Contract โ€” double pay โ€” and your first arena victory of the day pays TRIPLE. The colosseum now has office hours, and it tips well for showing up.

Saves and Rescue Codes carry forward, as always. Sign your first contract โ†’

The Arena Opens โ€” Twin Sovereigns, a Treasure Ceremony & a Whole Second Way to Play (v1.6)

The biggest update wave in Wildlands history. Three announcements, one download away:

โš” THE ARENA โ€” a new game mode. Conquer all 15 waves and the title screen changes forever: beside the campaign now stands a second door โ€” a torchlit stone colosseum deep in the forest, its pillars carved with moonlight-blue runes, eyes watching from the treeline. Inside, face any titan you've already conquered in a pure duel: no waves, no village, just you, the boss, and walls that are truly walls. Every bout opens with the torches flaring and the words CHALLENGER ENTERS โ€” and every victory pays a purse. Sharpen your craft against Kra'thor before a real run; settle your score with Thryzon as many times as it takes. The floor even keeps the scorch marks.

๐Ÿ‘‘ THE TWIN SOVEREIGNS. The Bonus Round beyond wave 15 has revealed its true face: not two random bosses โ€” two Zar'kaels. Always. The Sovereign was not alone, and the arena of legends demands you fell them both. His fire changed too: the Dragon Sovereign now breathes void-fire โ€” a burning purple heart tailing off into black smoke, a strange arcane star turning inside every bolt, erupting from his jaws in a single terrible cone. Green flame was for lesser things.

๐Ÿ† A victory worth savoring. Conquering wave 15 now ends the only way it should: CONGRATULATIONS across the sky, your full payday itemized โ€” and the Sovereign's treasure chest itself sitting before you, waiting for your hand. Collect it, watch the lid fly open in a blaze of gold, and then choose: claim your victory, or step past it toward the Twins.

Plus: Mauka's stride fixed (the big man briefly moonwalked โ€” we don't talk about it), and a new mode-select front door so both ways to play stand side by side. Saves and Rescue Codes carry forward, as always. Walk through either door โ†’

Nightfall Polish โ€” Brighter Mornings, Creeping Spiders & a Proper Celebration (v1.5.1)

A tuning pass on The Longest Day, built almost entirely from defender feedback:

Saves and Rescue Codes carry forward, as always. See the three acts โ†’

The Longest Day โ€” Dawn, Dusk & the Things That Come Out at Night (v1.5.0)

Your run is no longer just fifteen waves. It's one full day โ€” the village's longest.

The sky now tells the story. Wave 1 breaks at pale dawn. The light clears through the morning waves, then golden hour ignites around wave 10 โ€” and when the gold turns to blood-red dusk at wave 12, you'll feel the run change before a single enemy spawns. The final stand against Zar'kael is fought in full night, torchlit, fireflies drifting over the battlefield. The darkening sky is your tension meter; no numbers required.

The dark has new residents. When true night falls, the ant columns stop coming โ€” and giant spiders pour down the roads instead. They skitter in bursts, stop dead, and lunge again; faster and twitchier than the ants whose shift they take. Same war. Worse hours.

Moonlight is on your side. Every creature under the night sky โ€” spiders, goblins, dragons, even the bosses โ€” now glows with a silver-blue moonlit rim, eyes burning brighter in the dark. The night gets more dangerous and easier to read at the same time. That's the moon's gift to the last defender.

Saves and Rescue Codes carry forward, as always. Survive until nightfall โ†’

Palisade Rework โ€” Thorns Become Tactical (v1.4.1)

The Thorned Palisade has a new identity. Instead of a permanent wall, it's now one-wave tactical insurance: unlock it once in the Forge for 1,500 coins (a permanent account unlock, like Mauka), then buy it for 75 coins on any wave you expect a siege โ€” it rings the village in spikes for that wave only, biting harder the deeper you are. Cheap before a swarm wave, priceless before a boss that loves your walls.

The three defenses now each play differently: the Shield is timed immunity, the Towers are structures you build and protect, and the Palisade is the wave-by-wave call. Reading the battlefield is the game.

Also in this patch: unlock wording cleaned up across the game ("defeat a boss," as it should be). Saves and Rescue Codes carry forward โ€” and if you'd already earned the Palisade under the old rules, you keep it, no repurchase needed.

Make the call โ†’

The Siege Update โ€” Nothing Is Safe Anymore (v1.4.0)

Your towers have been firing from perfect safety long enough. The wild noticed.

Towers can now be destroyed. Both watchtowers carry 100 structure points โ€” and the swarm fights back. Ground minions passing a tower take bites out of it; bosses slam it far harder, and a titan parked at your tower's legs can bring it down fast. A health bar appears the moment a tower takes damage, and below half strength it starts to smoke. Ignore the smoke at your peril.

Repair while it stands โ€” rebuild once it falls. A damaged tower gets a new Forge line: Repair Watchtower, restoring it to full for a modest (and rising) price. But repairs only exist for a standing tower. If one is battered to rubble, the repair option dies with it โ€” you're buying a brand-new tower at the Forge's escalated price, and a destroyed Level 2 rebuilds at Level 1. The upgrade dies with the structure.

What this changes: tower placement in your heart. Defending the village is no longer the whole job โ€” now you're choosing whether that boss gets ten free seconds against your tower while you clear the eastern road. Protect your investments, spend your repairs wisely, and decide when a rebuild is worth it. The Forge also tightens its layout automatically now that the arsenal has grown.

Saves and Rescue Codes carry forward, as always. Defend everything โ†’

Twin Turrets โ€” The Second Tower Unlocks at Wave 10 (v1.3.2)

The unlock ladder just gained its missing rung. Clear wave 10 and a new Forge line appears: the Second Tower, rising on the village's left flank to mirror the first. Two towers means the whole compass is watched โ€” the western roads that once sat outside arrow range are no longer safe passage for the swarm.

The second tower costs more than the first, carries its own Level 2 upgrade, and hunts by the same doctrine: the threat closest to the village dies first, bosses included if they stray into range. The full ladder now reads: Shield from the start โ†’ Thorns at first blood โ†’ Watchtower at wave 5 โ†’ Second Tower at wave 10 โ†’ the Twin Trial beyond victory. Every milestone on the climb now hands you something.

Also fixed: towers were holding their fire on boss-only waves โ€” both turrets now loose arrows the moment any titan takes the field.

Saves and Rescue Codes carry forward, as always. Watch every road โ†’

Spoils of War โ€” A Victory Screen Worth Winning (v1.3.1)

A quality-of-life patch straight from defender feedback:

Saves and Rescue Codes carry forward, as always. Go collect your spoils โ†’

Defense Doctrine โ€” Smarter Shield, Sharper Tower, Earned Arsenal (v1.3.0)

One update, three doctrines โ€” every defense in the Forge just got smarter, and two of them must now be earned.

The Shield fights on your terms. Redesigned again on defender feedback: the Village Shield now grants a full 12 seconds on first purchase, arms silently at the wave start โ€” and its countdown begins only at the first strike on the village. From that moment, nothing gets through for the entire duration. No wasted walk-in seconds, no ambiguity: they touch the village, the dome ignites, the village is untouchable.

The Watchtower learned who matters. It now targets the enemy closest to the village among everything in its reach โ€” the ant at your gates dies before the one strolling past the tower's shoulder. Building or upgrading it also flashes a brief range ring, so you can finally see how far its arrows fly.

Thorns you can see โ€” and that keep up. The Thorned Palisade now visibly rings the village in wooden spikes (iron-tipped at Level 2), and its bite scales with the waves, so a wall bought early still matters at wave 14.

The Arsenal is earned. New defenders start with the Shield alone. Defeat your first boss and new Forge options open up. Clear wave 5 and the Watchtower joins the Forge. Veterans who've already passed those marks: everything is unlocked for you the moment you load in. The full ladder now reads: Shield from the start โ†’ Thorns at first blood โ†’ Tower at wave 5 โ†’ the Twin Trial beyond victory.

Saves and Rescue Codes carry forward, as always. Earn your arsenal โ†’

Shield Rework: Your Seconds Now Count (v1.2.1)

Defender feedback landed exactly where it should. The Village Shield (formerly the "Ward" โ€” clearer name, same gold) used to start its countdown at the wave horn, burning your purchased seconds while the swarm was still strolling in from the roads. Fixed, properly:

The shield now holds while under siege. It rises armed at the wave start โ€” a faint shimmering ring โ€” and the timer only drains while enemies are actually threatening the village. Walk-ins cost you nothing. Mid-wave lulls cost you nothing. Every second you buy is a second of real protection.

And it looks the part: golden runes now circle the dome while it holds, it flashes on every hit it absorbs, its color drains from gold to ember to red as its final seconds die, and it shatters with a proper "SHIELD DOWN" when it breaks.

Also confirmed by popular question: the Watchtower, once built, stands for your entire run โ€” every remaining wave, Twin Trial included. Arm the shield โ†’

The Village Fights Back โ€” The Watchtower Arrives (v1.2.0)

For fifteen waves, the village has watched you fight alone. No longer.

Build the Watchtower. A new construction line in the Village Forge raises a wooden watchtower beside the gates. Once built, it fires on its own โ€” loosing arrows at the nearest invader in range while you hold the line elsewhere. Upgrade it to Level 2 and it shoots faster, hits harder, and flies the red roof of a tower at war.

Design notes from the workshop: the tower hunts the swarm โ€” ants, bees, scorpions, goblins โ€” but the named bosses remain yours alone. It's a defender's ally, not a replacement. Paired with the Village Shield and the Thorned Palisade, the Forge now offers a true build order: shield it, arm it, or spike its walls โ€” or save every coin for yourself and fight the old way. Every strategy is a different run.

Saves and Rescue Codes carry forward, as always. Raise the tower โ†’

The Economy Pass โ€” Deep Waves Finally Pay Their Risk (v1.1.2)

A tuning update built on one principle: the danger and the paycheck should agree.

Tier-scaled bounties. Every enemy now pays more the deeper it appears โ€” +8% per wave. A goblin fought in the wave-14 chaos is worth roughly double one met on wave 2. Early waves are untouched; the gold now lives where the danger does, so pushing deep is officially the best business in the Wildlands.

Boss chests that grow with the boss. Chests now scale with the name that dropped them: Kra'thor's chest holds 25 coins, Vexara's 40, Malgrim's 55, Thryzon's 70 โ€” and Zar'kael's, the heaviest in the game, 85. Counting clear bonuses, boss paydays now climb from 89 coins at wave 3 to 245 at the finale, before the Sovereign's Hoard and the Twin Trial purse stack on top.

Your saved coins, levels, and Rescue Codes are untouched โ€” this update only changes what the wild pays going forward. Go get overpaid for danger โ†’

The Twin Trial โ€” Beat the Game, Then Really Beat It (v1.1.1)

Zar'kael was never the end. He was the gatekeeper.

The Twin Trial. Fell the Dragon Sovereign once and a new door opens: after every full clear, you can now step past victory into an optional final arena โ€” two bosses from the roster, together, at once. The pair is drawn at random, so no two Trials play alike: Kra'thor tunneling beneath you while Vexara dives from above; Malgrim's shadows swirling around Thryzon's armor. Each twin fights at reduced strength โ€” the Trial is meant to be brutal, not impossible โ€” and slaying both pays the biggest purse in the Wildlands: +200 coins, plus a one-time +150 milestone for your first conquest. Fall in the Trial and you lose nothing โ€” your full-clear rewards were already banked.

The Sovereign finally pays. We also fixed a long-standing injustice: beating the final boss used to jump straight to the victory screen, skipping the boss payday entirely. No more. Zar'kael's fall now delivers the full treasury โ€” his clear bonus, his chest, the new repeatable Sovereign's Hoard purse on every full clear, Perfect Defense if you kept the village unscarred, and your milestones. Beating the game is now the richest moment in it, every single time.

Twin HP bars, a new arena objective, and full mobile support included. Saves and Rescue Codes carry forward, as always. Go earn the right to the Trial โ†’

The Village Defense Update โ€” Wards, Thorns & a Forge That Pays You Back (v1.1.0)

The Forge just became a war room. This update adds new ways to protect the village โ€” and new ways the village rewards its defender.

Village Shield. A new Forge purchase banks a golden shield for the next wave: +6 seconds per purchase, up to 18 banked. When the wave begins, the shield rises over the village and absorbs every hit on it until the timer runs out โ€” you'll see the dome, the countdown, and the crack when it finally fails. Spend cheap before a swarm wave, or go deep before a boss you know loves a siege.

Thorned Palisade. Two Forge levels of bite-back: enemies pressing the village walls now take steady chip damage. Sieges punish themselves.

The village pays its defenders:

Also in v1.1.0: Mauka finally walks like the mountain he is โ€” his walk cycle has been fully redrawn with true stride poses, closing out the animation polish campaign across all three heroes.

Saves and Rescue Codes carry forward untouched. Raise the ward and hold the line โ†’

The Guides Have Arrived โ€” Plus an Animation Polish Patch

Two deliveries from the village workshop this week.

Guides & Strategy is live. A new Guides section joins the site, opening with three field manuals: a Beginner's Guide to surviving your first five waves, a complete Boss Guide covering all five names from Kra'thor to Zar'kael, and a Hero Guide comparing Sorkhi, Zenka, and Mauka โ€” including how to bank the 3,000 coins that unlock the big man. More guides will land as the Wildlands grow.

Animation polish patch (v1.0.8). Sharp-eyed defenders spotted visual residue trailing Sorkhi during walks and attacks โ€” stray sprite fragments left over from asset generation, plus a subtle rendering edge-bleed. Both are eliminated, for every character in the game. Sorkhi's attack animation was also drawn slightly smaller than his walk; his swings now match his stride. He has never looked cleaner. Mauka's walk cycle is getting a full rework โ€” that one's coming in its own update.

Saves and Rescue Codes untouched, as always. Back to the gates โ†’

Big Mobile Upgrade: Tap to Play, Full-Screen Combat & Install Wildlands on Your Phone

Wildlands: Last Village running full screen on a phone held in hand, with the shield app icon and a Tap to Play button

The village just got a lot easier to defend from your pocket. This update rebuilds the entire mobile experience around one idea: nothing between you and the fight.

One tap, full screen. On phones, the Play page now opens with a single giant โ–ถ button. Tap it and the game takes over your entire screen instantly โ€” no pinching, no zooming, no hunting for controls. Rotate to landscape and the battlefield opens wide.

Smooth in, smooth out. Leaving the game (back-swipe on any phone, or the small Exit chip on iPhone) returns you exactly where you were on the page โ€” read the controls, grab your Rescue Code, then tap right back into the fray.

Install Wildlands like an app โ€” no app store needed. You can now put Wildlands on your home screen and launch it edge-to-edge with zero browser bars, just like an installed game:

The shield appears on your home screen. Tap it, and you're at the gates in full screen โ€” no address bar, no toolbars, just the Wildlands.

This update also squashes a mobile bug where confirming Quit to Title from the pause menu sometimes took several taps. One tap does it now.

Desktop defenders: nothing changed for you โ€” your experience stays exactly as it was, instant and full. Your saves and Rescue Codes carry through all of this, as always. The swarm doesn't care what device you're on. Neither do we.

Tap in and defend the village โ†’
